Generals. The TDQM1/70 is a MPEG-2 encoder and QPSK modulator with 1 Video plus 2 Audio channels capacity. It supports the Composite Video input format, the S-VHS Video input format and the Stereo Analog Audio format (L&R channels). The SDI Input interface is available as option such as the ASI Input standard. It is DVB-S compliant (ETS 300 421). The output is IF 70 MHz.
Outputs. The TDQM1/70 gives in output a LVDS parallel stream or, as available option, the serial data stream in ASI Standard for multiple serial or parallel connections.
User's facilities. All MPEG-2 encoder parameters can be set by means of the LCD front panel display. Particularly, the value of the output stream rate is impostable up to 15 Mbit/s.
Ultra low phase noise oscillators and a powerful linearity precorrector allow to minimize the Bit Error Rate (BER) also using the maximum spectrum efficiency modulation systems.
Bit-rate programmability. The digital modulators has a fully programmable bit-rate allocation for each program to widely define the quality and bandwidth of the modulation: this to guarantee the maximum flexibility in all applications.
PC control. An RS232 interface permits to control the DQM1/70
encoder through a PC, installing the proper software.
